Bricked PSP repair

Hi there group.

Does anyone have a dead PSP mainboard or entire unit that they'd be interested in selling or donating for parts? I may well be able to repair units affected by the "killer patch".

Phone 07781 431708 or email me if you can help.

Thanks,

-A

Posting your 'phone number on Usenet is not a wise move.

Yes, I realised that about 0.05 seconds after I posted it..

However given that phoning Guernsey from the UK to a mobile costs 38p per minute, I doubt anyone will bother.

It's probably in the phone directory anyway, it's very easy to get numbers from all over the world with the internet.

Why? If someone wants to try and cheat Sony by using "patches" to play illegal copies of games or such, they are better off with a $200 paper weight.

Backup copies for personal protection is fine but too often people takes advantage of any cheats and hacks to avoid paying $50 for a legit copy of the game.

Well, think about running your own software. A PSP is a nice computing device - if you could run your own software.

I understand full screen movies can only be played from the optical drive. I'd like to stream them through wireless as well.

Some yould say I need to pay Sony for that - OTOH it is a device one purchases.

It is their choice to subsidize, but they should not have support from laws to stop people using what they bought the way they like.

If they don't want to transfer ownership, they should rent the devices out.
