how two sine signals are multiplied in VHDL language

hi all,



iam doing projevt on Digital down converter.In that i need to multiply RF signal and LO signal . which type of multiplier is suited for multiplication of two sinusoidal signal using FPGA.if any body is having code iwould be thankful to you

The * operator is what you need.

When I first read about mixers, I thought that it was some special operation to have such interesting results. It was only later that I realized they were talking about the multiplication I learned in the third grade. (So *that's* why the symbol for a mixer is a big X!)
