Looking for BD3 Germainium Diode to repair Singer FM-10C comm monitor. Small diode in metal case (gold color). Used as a single mixer diode on front end.

Try a 1N34 or any schottky diode.
Maybe won't work well, depending on design of the mixer design, because BD3 is a Backward Diode (a Tunnel Diode with a supressed Ipeak), see
