Hi,
my nice 1980B just quit its job and now the readout/menu/whatever text display has lost its horizontal deflection.It just quit from one second to the other with a click noise. Everything else works (so the controller is okay) and the readout vertical deflection also looks okay, scope operation is fine too. Living without the text display might be okay on a 7000series but not for this one, since all parameters are set digitally and displayed onscreen. Now the 1980B is a little more complex then the average 465 and so im rather lost without any schematics/service manuals. The usual manual dealers all dont have the service manual but just the operating manual (which i also have and which is useless for troubleshooting).
So does anyone have a copy of the service manual or at least of the schematics ?Of course i would also pay a fair price.
Other suggestions concerning the problems are welcome too.
