What is message collison?

In a typical serial protocol, when mutiple nodes attempt to access the bus at the same time, a collison may occur, what is this collison exactly mean?

It means that both transmitters put data on the bus at the same time, and the result is garbled and useless.

two devices talking at the same time. rather simple concept.

Unfortunately, unless your protocol deliberately precludes (or otherwise addresses) this possibility, it is possible that some nodes *can* see "somewhat" valid transactions on the bus (depends on topology).
