Reverse or inverse ARP from windows/linux - no way (!?!?)

Have not tried it. It is nothing pressing which is the reason why - it appears that if the wintel PC will broadcast its request which the netMCA will reply to things should work. Then I am not a wintel person, I don't even know how to make the PC do that (not that I could not find out, it is probably obvious, but I have not done it :-) ).

Not directly related, but in a similar line of thoughts: I was surprised to see recently that my ISP does register the name from the dhcp request in their ddns database (had to call and register MAC address until recently). Way to go, if routers begin doing it within a few years time the issue will mostly disappear.
