Blackfin exceeded SCLK abs max / Damage possible?

Hi Everyone-

My Blackfin ADSP-BF532 seems to have been damaged. The data sheet says abs max for SCLK is 133MHz. I accidentally set it to 400MHz and now my simple test program will no longer toggle a PF bit. It worked fine before I made this mistake. (You can tell I'm a newbie.)

Does anyojne know if it is *really* possible to damage the device by exceeding the SCLK abs max rating?

It seems odd to me because I have no experience with devices that can be programmed to self destruct.

Thanks, John
