Interesting looking Peripheral mix. x4 mode for SD is nice to see, as is the fast SPI/SSC and uarts with a SYNC mode is also an emerging feature. HS USB joins their AVR32, so now Atmel have two FLASH families with HS USB.

Timers look a little light, at just 16 bits and only 3 ?! There is a Quadrature mode, hidden in the fine print

Even the 99c NXP device has 2 x 32 bit and 2 x 16b Timer/counters.
