ANN: Armaide - New development system for LPC2000

Armaide is an integrated development system for writing native ARM software to run on the NXP LPC2000 family of microcontrollers. The programming language used is Oberon-07, an evolution of Pascal and Modula-2. Programmers with experience of either of these languages can adapt to Oberon with minimal effort. Oberon's type-safety and module consistency-checking features make it ideal for the development of secure and reliable software.

Although Armaide itself is a new product it consists of a number of mature and reliable components. The ARM compiler used is the 2nd generation of a tool that has been in development for about 10 years, and the IDE was originally released (as CPIde) three years ago.
