Radio controlled switch

get yourself a couple of them old chicken boxes , good buddy. Get them ones with receive signal metres. Get inside and root about with a dc tester and find / trace where the biggest signal is, you will find it just after the diode detector in the metre circuit. Hang a length of hook up wire and make up switch transistor switch on a bit of old strip board. Use the transistor switch to switch a relay. Use the relay to switch a mains relay to operate your lights. Us good old buys use this for starting the trucks on a cold winter morning.... With a BIG relay you can turn big power... All the best.
