Need Help on "Test" button circuit with multiple LEDs

Hi there,

I am in the process of completing a circuit design (trying to, I'm not an electronics technician), that has 8 sensors that are run through 8 LEDs to indicate the positions of 4 actuators.

In the circuit I have a 3 way toggle switch that is used to dim the LEDs at night, has a DAY position (normal operation), and a momentary TEST position.

Because the voltage is supplied directly from the sensors to illuminate the LEDs I'm having a tough time figuring out the TEST circuit.

I'm looking for some direction on a circuit I could use to momentarily test that all the LEDs are working using the toggle switch?

I am trying to keep the circuit as simple as possible.

Thanks in advance. G

Hi. You need to insert diodes between the sensors and leds, and feed each led with another inserted diode from the test switch. Miguel

Thanks,

That is sort of what I figured, for some reason drawing a blank when trying to think of it. Truly appreciated.
