Is it not too difficult to modify a computer SMPS? Can one just replace the heatsink, transistors, and inductors wtihout worrying about anything else? I assume they have current limiters in the device that would need to be modified too? (or disabled and simply use a fuse?) I have an old ps that is raded for 12A at +12 and I'd like to get that higher.
Or is it possible to run the devices in parallel without to much modification?
