Why do you want cheap ones ? They may be rubbish ! Does 'ripple current' or ESR mean anything to you ?

Hi, Jon. The cheapest electronics components are usually available from places like JDR because they've been bought from parts brokers. These resellers get parts that have been returned from customers for one reason or another.

Usually, parts are returned because the project didn't pan out or volume wasn't what was expected (good for you!), but it can also mean other things. Parts can be returned because incoming QC found them to be deficient in one way or another. They may have been stored improperly. They may also have been sitting on a shelf somewhere for

Graham has a point. When you're buying from a "hobbyist" or "surplus" outlet, you are taking a chance, and you really should take that into account. Miseries with caps can be particularly tough to troubleshoot.
