Can fixed-voltage regulators be paralled up?

Can fixed-voltage regulators be paralled up to cope with higher currents. (eg the 2 Amp L78S24CV 24 Volt fixed voltage regulator)? Could I use 5 of these in parallel to supply 10 amps?

I suspect the manufacturer would love you to do that, if it worked well. It doesn't. But if you read the datasheet, you will find what STMicro suggests for increasing the current compliances. And it's not

5 of the things. In fact, they include at least two examples of what you are looking for on the datasheet. Have you read it?

Thanks for your smart-arse reply. Now if I'd read it, I be as stupid as you wouldn't I?

Too bad you are incapable of recognizing a little sincere help when you get it. You must really have a sad life.

I clearly told you that it wouldn't work. That was a direct answer to your question. In addition to what you asked for, I wondered out loud if you'd looked at the two nicely provided examples that are already laid out for you.

It appears now that you not only cannot accept a direct, clear answer; but are unable to accept a gentle pointer as to where you can find exactly the solution are actually are asking for without getting angry about it.

I'm sorry for what must have been a tough life for you.

What was smart assed about his reply? And how was he stupid? Page 19 shows exactly what you're looking for, BTW in 2 varieties as he said. Here's a link
