May I have everyone's opinions on AutoTRAX EDA?

Not anymore. Someone else "appropriated" the name for a different product.

The developer (he's a one man band) got people to buy what was basically alpha code and got them to help him to debug it. It's over three years since it was launched, and it's still got serious bugs. Some people claim to be using it for serious work, but I haven't seen a single example of a moderately complex board produced with it. I have a play with the latest demo every now and then, but can't see any reason to switch to it from Pulsonix.

has been around pcb CAD stuff for 30 odd years and here is what he says about Autotrax EDA. He still sticks to the old DOS Protel Easytrax/Autotrax simply because it works... As does Airborn Electronics

"I have just seen a windozzz version called AutoTRAXEDA, and it is simply NOT very good for 'old experienced'hands and it is NOT compatible with the common Protel, International Standard, way of doing things, so in short, give it a miss, as it is NOT interchangeable
