1) Chinese export restr^H^H Customs Problems, sorry.
The Chinese are getting damn fed up about getting paid in USD which is being debased further by Team Obummah, so in a little tit-for-tat, they are further restricting the range of Chinese items that can be purchased by foreigners?
2) The joy of 12000 km JIT supply lines - combined with derivatives as "insurance" instead of the "inefficient" physical storage? If the counterparty defaults, there is no consequence3) Nobody makes parts because "The Recovery(tm)" hasn't happened outside of the narrow circle of Most Favoured Bankers and that lot only buy the high-range Bang & Olufson kit - and they already bought that for their Dubai Condo in 2008?
4) The parts sold to the Gaijin are actually those stripped off scrap PCBs by generous heating over a plastic fire and the minimum of testing. This procedure limiting the production rate somewhat. The genuine, new, parts are all used by the Chinese manufacturers for products sold internally in China - The Chinese have A Lot of USD to blow; and - Why not blow them on their own people? Their American investments have been more of a long string of "suck-Cess"-sessions than success, IMO.
