i am the designer and programmer of the website:

is a website for a national and international law book publishing business. I try to improve the design of the website and would like to have your advise.

I wouldn't say there's too much wrong with it aside from the CSS. You might want to use divs instead of tables for all of the main content on the homepage, and try to avoid using too many style attributes in the HTML elements.
