You're certainly right about that! I don't often do the impossible. ;-)
SWMBO knows better. I'd fire her. ;-) She loves 'shrooms, but she knows enough to keep them off my plate.
Green beans (only fresh, whole), peas, maybe even some limas, but not a chance on Brocolli or Brussels sprouts. The rest of the hot greens can go to the same place.
That's neat, too. The interesting thing about the spectroscope Mike linked is that it's calibrated. It'll actually be of some use at work.

yogurt! ;-)
Tofu is no substitute for a decent mushroom; then again most people have never tasted a decent mushroom. Try a fresh baby bella mushroom some = day.
No thanks. I'll just eat my wet cardboard.

Grrr. Idiot. She IS smarter than you. Good 'shrooms are delicious and nutritious. Junk 'shrooms are very like tofu. I pays to learn the difference. =20

It is strange, i have discovered since childhood that i love broccoli and cauliflower RAW. Hated b & c as a child. Loved pumpkin pie, don't care for it now; disliked mince meat pie, like it now; always liked green beans; never liked brussel sprouts (they are not sprouts either). Tastes do change, even well into adulthood (in my 40's and later). I was in my
30s when i learned to appreciate 'hot', much later i am a minor dragon ( = i can take / even like rather HOT food (over 10,000 Scoville),, hell i make stuff over 30,000 Scoville. I would have spat it out and ran crying to the restroom as a teen. Taste can and often does change over time.I make flavorful chili-garlic sauce, want some? It freezes and ships reasonably. Regular red about 30,000 Scoville, Solar Flare brand (tm) over 100,000 Scoville. For quick comparison Jalapeno peppers run 2000 to
5000 Scoville. Habenjeros run about 80,000 to 300,000 they are the base of Solar Flare.?-)

How in the hell do you get that? Caulifower (before cooking all the life out of it) is extremely flavorful, tofu never is flavorful. It is no longer tofu if you add flavor. Cauliflower is no longer cauliflower if you cook the flavor out of it. Broccoli as well. Then again maybe you don't like flavorful natural foods.

Wrong! ...but I wouldn't expect you to know that.

There are a lot of things I like raw that I don't like cooked. Carrots and celery (though they're OK in a stew) are two that immediately come to mind.
None of that. I can't stand the smell of pumpkin pie.
Sure. I eat lots of things that I wouldn't as a kid. I didn't even eat pizza until I was an adult. And gyros, yum! No Mexican, either.
I like hot, as a flavor, but I'm not into pain. No thanks. I like my wife's chili. Its heat grows on you, like chili pepper should.
Prejudiced against things that taste somewhere between wet cardboard and shit, you bet!

I want some.
How much will it cost?
