Interesting that the plan is criticized for being incomplete (not knowing h ow much it will cost and not knowing where the funds will come from) but at the same time a bunch of assumptions have to be made for criticizing how w ell it will work.
I don't know what the repercussions of this plan or other plans like it wil l be because I haven't heard the details. It may be that this will result in a savings to the government. If each job created under this plan replac es a government job at a higher salary, that could be a good thing, no? Wh y not wait until you know the details before expecting it to cause the fall of civilization.

That's not interesting.
It's published in the
which is a conservative publication. The plan is not only endorsed by the D emocrats, but by a famously left-wing Democrat, Bernie Saunders, which mean s that the National Review won't like it, independent of it's merits.

Jim Thompson expects anything that anybody labels "socialist" to cause the fall of civilisation. Jim isn't actually all that civilised, and what he's mostly interested in is paying less taxes, so he's resistant to the idea th at socialist initiatives (that tend to involve collecting more in taxes) ca n benefit society as a whole.
He thinks that Arizona's school system - which spends $7,489 per year per h ead on secondary school students - more than Utah ($6,575) and Idaho ($6,92
3) but less than every other state - is in some way exemplary, presumably b ecause it's cheap. It didn't educate Arizona voters well enough to let a ma jority of them recognise Trump as lying buffoon, but Jim may think that thi s a good thing.-- Bill Sloman, Sydney
In Seattle, minimum wage is going up to $15 per hour by 2021 from around $10 per hour in 2015.
Now they're talking about adding an employee tax for the larger companies like Boeing and Amazon to help pay for the homeless here.

I always thought the homeless were pretty much free. They charge for being homeless now?
Rick C.
Are you kidding ? If not, hook me up with your dealer, I could use a good time. This is the GOVERNMENT ! If they ever did nay good they would put themselves in jail.
companies like Boeing and Amazon to help pay for the homeless here. "
Of course. When there are homeless it justifies a tax. If they give them ho mes or help them and they are no more homeless then there is no justificati on for the tax. So the most logical thing for them to do is to charge a tax to solve a problem and never solve it.
Government grows and is happy. Says so right in the Constitution. The Peopl e, they are the people, we are not.
At least until we throw the shit at the fan. (the shit is made out of lead BTW)
Sanders has not put forth any such proposal. They will probably go for a Universal Basic Income before they try for this.

You mean like just give them the money without any work ? Sounds about right.
I didn't read it all, I like Bernie. He seems like a real gentleman. I couldn't vote for him 'cause I think his ideas are fiscally crazy. But hey we now have big tax cuts and more spending.. also crazy IMHO.
If you don't want trade deficits with foreign nations, then stop deficit spending. Who's buying our debt?

[snip]
Why do you lefties always find yourselves in support of crooks? Is it some kind of Bonnie & Clyde voyeurism?...
And Bernie _is_ involved.
I suppose you're going to vote for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo?
Sucker!
Enjoy >:-} ...Jim Thompson

ght.
As usual, U.S. establishment politics is behind the curve. This has been go ing on for quite a while. It is long overdue here. Many people need it to s urvive, some people want it because they have better things to do then be a tool.

You sir, are one crazy sum' bitch.

Crazy like Einstein who said he would have never developed thebomb unless he was sure Germany would beat us to it.
Crazy like Edison who said the government should print money rather than borrow it, but no, it would look bad for that administration.
Crazy like Tesla, who was right about AC when Edison was wrong about DC.
Crazy like Ford who sunk millions into a process that flew in the fact of extant patents to bring the US version of the "People's car".
Crazy like Coughlin who asked why so many government agencies during the WPA were incorporated in Delaware.
Crazy like the founders of the US who were mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.
Crazy like Armstrong who agreed to go into space in a tin can not knowing what it was like out there.
Crazy like MLK and Farrakhan who would not put up with anymore shit and would speak and move the masses.
Crazy like Martin Luther who had the balls to ask questions.
Crazy like Hugo Chavez Frias, a president who went out in public among the People and listened to their complaints in person and gained the ire of the US and big oil by not letting them screw his country over.
Crazy like Mossadeq who had worse luck with the ire of the US and big oil having done similar things to what Chavez did later.
Crazy like Evel Knevel who proved that the supposedly impossible was possible with the right planning and forethought.
Crazy like Jarvis who thought a machine could replace the human heart.
Shall I go on ?
Thanks for the compliment.
Interesting that they left Finland out of the article. Failures don't tell the "right" story.

Why don't you try reading a reliable news source: Finland rejects 'false' c laims its basic income trial has failed: 'Proceeding as planned'
Why don't you think. Oh, that's right. You can't.
