I am playing with an idea to design a board with two can controllers and wish to have them share on CAN transciever in a sort of wired-or arrangement. I will use the philips transciever. Any advice will be apreciated. Ofer

This is feasible as long as:
1) You have the two devices with separate CAN addresses for each 2) You add logic to the board such that transmit output pins (the serial output lines) from the two CAN controllers are ORed properly so that you do not have logic level contentions between the two signals. At the worst case this second would require some additional transmit enable signal from the two CAN controllers that will enable the respective transmit output pin to the CAN bus transceiver.- mkaras
