I just started a BOM service in San Diego but was looking at other services offering the same thing and found that there is hundreds of service.
One thing you must be aware of is that most vendor services only deal with there own parts. They can find other parts but they only do a cross-reference matching format. This leaves slight problems when it comes to parts being lead free. A lot of parts manufacturers are taking the time now during the cross over to lead free, to improve the products. Unfortunately improvements are not always good.
Also what about building the prototype for testing the new lead free products in your equipment?
