Regarding XTR110 V to I converter

Hi, Can any one tell me whether XTR110 V to I convereter is meant only for DC voltages or works fine wid AC voltages as well ... Regards, Asmita



It's in the current data sheet from the TI web site. See the spec for "dynamic response settling time" for instance. The input voltage should be offset from zero, a suggested by figure 6 in the data sheet: if the input voltage range is 0 to 10 V for 4 to 20mA output, then you can input a 10V p-p AC signal if you bias it with +5V DC, so it swings from 0 to +10V.
