Things with tiny brains, like insects, do fast and precise visual processing.


Some with lots of eyes.


Insects don't even have a cortex. The "long-held beliefs" was obviously fat-headed.

But probably not what you ought to be learning. The "Eistein might have been wrong" line in that report is pure Popperian philosophy of science, which makes "falsifiability" a key property of any scientific theory.

The fact that we might be able to see something in black hole shadows which might falsify the general relativity isn't any kind of claim that we will be able to falsify it.

He had some hugely valuable, testable ideas. Relativity. E=mc2. Gravitational lensing. Time dilation. Mostly just from thinkling.

His equations work.

Your "definitions" aren't widely accepted.

It may need to be a more elaborate mechanism than you want to admit.

But you needed to be able to "see" electrons before it got to be a useful explanation. J.J.Thompson established their existence in 1897

Ohm's laws was published in 1827. He didn't need electrons to justify his law.

Ernst Mach didn't believe in atoms. Einstein's explanation of Brownian motion convinced pretty much everybody else.

But nobody has seen a Le Sage particle, and they'd need to have very bizarre properties - essentially self-contradictory - if they were going to work as Le Sage claimed

Einstein's general relativity is a better explanation - it does explain the precession of the orbit of Mercury. It's not quantised, so it is inadequate in one fairly arcane sense.

Newton's laws mostly work. Einstein's work better.
