Question for the future perhaps: Phasers, Shields, Zaps and human energy signatures ?

Hello,

The question is: "Do human beings have a unique energy signature ?"

Suppose the phaser is invented which would allow people to "zap" each other. Like a television... if you don't like what you see, you just zap it ! ;) :)

Not long after the invention of the phaser I would expect the invention of the shield to protect against the phaser.

Now assume for a moment that somebody does not have a shield and gets "zapped".

The matter of the person is transformed into energy...

The question is "Is the energy back-traceable to a human being".

In another words: "Does every human being have a unique energy signature ?".

Other questions: "How long will the energy remain presents ?"

In other words...: Once a human being has been zapped... is it possible to determine this ? Is it possible to detect it ? Is it possible to trace it back to a certain human being ?

Otherwise it would be hard to know what or who was zapped away without other evidence...

Maybe the Large Hydrogen Collider can unravel further mysteries/details about energy... maybe it can discover that a certain ammount of protons lead to a certain ammount of recidue... or maybe the protons themselfes are already enough to identify people ? Or maybe carbon's or whatever those tiny things are called ? ;) :)

So question is:

Once a human being is "zapped" and energy remains... how could it be identified as:

  1. Being a human being ?

  1. Who's energy signature was it ? ;)

Bye, Skybuck.

No.

Yes.

Departs at c.

No.

With the entire planet a glowing plasma, due to the release of said energy, not sure that forensics makes much sense.

No. Everybody's protons are exactly the same.

It couldn't be. Star Trek was just a vehicle for some mild fiction, and the marvels they "invented" were necessary to a 30 minute plot.

Ok,

So maybe the phaser works by firing tremendous ammounts of energy into a target to spontanously combust it into flames/energy/plasma.

The drawback of the phaser would be that it might leave an immense energy trace/signature.

I wonder what the effect would be of a anti-matter gun ?

Now suppose for a moment that it's possible to collect anti matter and store it in a gun...

Let's assume "anti matter bullits" which are contained inside the gun, and perhaps fired of with some gunpower as in a usual gun.

On impact the shell of the anti matter bullit would break apart releasing the anti matter into the target's matter.

Now I am not a physics kind of guy... but as far as I know... anti-matter cancels matter ?

Or does the opposite happen ? Is there a big bang of explosion/energy ?

So the question is:

"Would there be some kind of (energy) signature ?"

Or would it all "magically" disappear (perhaps into an alternate universe) untraceable with todays technology ?! ;) :)

Bye, Skybuck.

Well it seems there are already attempts to predict what would happen:

Mostly heating, explosions, plasma that kind of stuff...

This leaves the question open (?):

"Is there a weapon conceivable which could be used to eradicate a human being without leaving a trace? ;) :)

It wouldn't do quite that much damage if you converted one human to pure energy. E=mc^2 gives about 21kT TNT per gram of matter annihilated or

21MT per kg. So a 95kg human would be in the ball park of 2GT TNT

Biggest ever Russian H-bomb design was 100MT (50MT as detonated). Krakatoa 1884 is estimated at 200MT (an order of magnitude less) Tambora in 1815 (year without summer 1816) was ~1GT

You really would not want to be stood at ground zero. Crater size would be roughly 6-8km scaling as M^0.3 or so for a ground burst. see:

(amazingly the graph in fig 12 goes all the way up to 1000MT!)

Vulcanism would almost certainly add to your woes.

Some further clarifications of how the special effects and movie sequences should look like:

  1. "In the glimpse of an eye..."

During the Optimus Prime vs Megatron battle... the scene slows down to slow motion... to show the incredible reasoning speed of Optimus Prime...

The eyes of Optimus Prime are looking towards the prehistoric humans... the computer inside Optimus Prime's brain is calculating all possibilities at incredible speed and analyzing the prehistoric humans visual appereance in a blue overlay... calculating numbers etc.

Then possibly a red warning message is displayed on a blue or blue background or whatever looks good: "protect all sentient beings". As an override kind of message coming directly out of his hard coded brain or software with the Autobots Prime directive: "protect all sentient beings".

As already said it should be a beautifull blond prehistoric woman which is about to die... together with a whimpy or a strong prehistoric man which is also about to die.

  1. "Megatron teleporting the dead corpse of Optimus Prime aboard his spaceship".

The action sequence where all goes bad... and Megatron decides to make sure that Optimus Prime does not escape him... looks as follows:

The sequence is in slow motion... Megatron "rushing" towards the computer's interface hanging in still air... like a jump towards the computer's screens/interfaces/buttons...

There his red eyes shine red laser beams transmitting information at incredible speeds towards the computer systems... programming the location of optimus prime... perhaps scanning the location... all shown in slow motion... There a lock on occurs on Optimus Prime's corpse/body and gets teleported onto the spaceship... right before it crash lands into the mountain...

Here the slow motion sequence runs at full speed again to show the crash into the mountain. The slow motion sequence is only ment to show the incredible speeds at which megatron programs and interface with the computer... to explain how he did it in such a short ammount of time... and for nice looking special effects never seen before in any transformers movie or cartoon (?)... thus this movie will reveal a "programming ability" by the transformers... and how they do it... "by their eyes" ;) :)

As if they are looking deep into the soul of a computer and understand it very well =D

(Shit my mother just called... I was supposed to go eat Dinner together with them lol... I totally lost track of time because of this story... but I think it's worth it LOL =D I will go get the nice dinner later on =D)

Anyway... on with the descriptions ! =D

  1. "The death/vaporizing of Optimus Prime"

Parts of his face/head should be vaporized away/melted away and blown away... some of his internal (brain) circuits should be visible...

As he is blown away this should happen in slow motion... to show the cruesome death he endured and the great sacrifice that he made to safe an unknown but sentient species at that time...

The same faith happens to the human pair... they are also cruesomebly blown apart and witness the destructive power of the blast... their flesh and blood is blown off... and soon their bones are blown away as well...

As the transformer's brains/computers have billions of cycles present... Optimus Prime witnesses this cruesome death of these beautifull human creatures... but there is nothing he can do for them... He can only witness their painfull death's in full slow motion... his face turns sue/sorry like.... he cannot help but feel sorry for these creatures... he has a face like he wants to cry... he wants to cry over the pain of the creatures... he feels their pain... because he himself is also being vaporized... and he fully realizes... that his pain must be nothing compared to the pain the human beings are experiencing...

But he had no choice... he had to save the planet from greater danger...

Parts of his body/stomach vaporize as well... creating a gigant blast through whole... all the way to the other side... to see through... Maybe the plasma's streams go through his body/holes a couple of times... enduring great pain or so... Also some modest eletrical defects here and there... and melting/glowing metal perhaps... and some smoke/gas/vapor which is the metal being vaporized...

This battle sequence is what the movie is mostly about... "Showing what really happened billions of years ago". Therefore lot's of time can be spent on this movie sequence.

It again shows how Optimus Prime brought the ultimate sacrific to safe planet earth !

And it nicely connects the storyline to the cartoon's serie... (Generation

1)

But as we... the movie watcher know... it will be worth it... Optimus Prime will be revived billions of years later by Teletron One.

So the movie has a semi-happy ending ! =D

Also this movie sequence should ofcourse be accompnied by suiting music... just like "Kick-Ass"'s Batman sequence... The guy who selected that music should be consulted to find suiting music for this sequence or maybe even to "produce" it somehow... not literally but telling musicians what kind of music to make for the scene ?! ;) :)

Perhaps some dramatic sounding music... or perhaps some death music... or maybe death dieiing music... or maybe all-shit-hell is breaking loose music... or a combination of it.. for the full slow motion sequence =D

Perhaps the movie can replay that same sequence at full speed again... to show it one more time... at full speed =D

I will leave it at that for now because I have to go get Dinner ! =D

Bye, Bye, Skybuck =D

[snip crap]

Does it use a NiCad battery?

idiot

Phased array microwave antennas for Officially frying skin (frying corneas) are already stockpiled.

[snip rest of crap]

Don't whack the magazine against your helmet, stooopid. 50% of energy release will be in neutrinos. That is an immense loss given expense of the ammo.

Some more clarifications about the sound:

Especially those of Optimus Prime...

As Optimus Prime is being vaporized and blown to pieces/melted by the powerfull phaser blast... He screams in slow motion... Allowing nice special audio effects...

And he rolls his head up and to the sides and down again... looking at the creatures/humans as they are being blown to bits as well... "aahhhhh..." he goes....

"Noooooooooooooo....."

"Aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

"CRRRRZZTTTTTTTTT" his vocal systems are destroyed/damaged and nothing but the sound of terrible shattering comes out of it... and so does his body... and some melting sounds and sizzling sounds.... and ofcourse the incredible blast of plasma... (low frequence sound/boom sound like but low volume to make the rest of the sound come out better) going through his body. And perhaps little bits of dirty hitting him as well...

Optionally... the screams of the human girl... and the perhaps the man can also be slightly hard from a great distance ? Perhaps in surround sound from the back...

"AHHHHHHH" the girl goes at a high frequency...

And

"AHHHHH" the man goes at a low frequency...

And SPLATTER sounds as their flesh and bloods is blown away...

And finally some crispy bones being blown away sounds as well =D

And perhaps a "Optimus Prime" hits the ground sound as well... as hits body hits the ground perhaps...

And perhaps a "shutting down sound" as his Sparc fades away....

And perhaps a "bleep sound" as the final sound of death of an autobot.

And then perhaps nothing but the sound of wind.... after the blast...

The blast was short but violent...

And then later... his body starts to teleport in slow motion as welll... just very briefly... and then the sequence could continue at full speed again... and then slow down again to show megatron doing the teleportation as described...

Or the camera could simply "switch" to megatron... and showing megatron is slow motion as well... as he starts to program the computer in slow motion rapid speed... and teleports the body/corpse of Optimus Prime aboard onto his spaceship... right after the blast/wind...

Which makes the scene that much more intense and ironic... if he had done it a few seconds earlier... Optimus Prime would not have had this cruesome death... but now yes he has... it was after all his own choice... he really had no choice... so be it.

The lasers of Megatron should have a high crispy chip like sound... like a bird chipping away at ultra high frequencies... I actually have a required of a chilping chip ! ;) It's on my webdrive somewhere... you might want to examine it ! ;) :)

The teleportation sound should have a ZZZZZHHHHHHOOOOO like sound.. as if matter is converted towards energy and being teleported/sucked away.

The phaser sound hitting the ground should sound like a very powerfull blast... as a bolt of plasma hitting he ground... and some dirty flying into air as it happens plus ofcourse the blast itself.. which has a atomic bomb like sound or so... but low volume and low frequency as I said ;) :) Sub woofer like low frequency ! ;) :) But low volume so it doesn't go apeshit ;) :)

And the crash into the ammount as lot's of rocks scarping against each other... with some trailing like sounds of rocks failing down and ceiling it... which an earthquake will shake open (?) billions of years later and active teletron one (cartoon serie's generation 1).

^ This sequence of events is already pictures in the cartoon serie's so doesn't need to be in the movie and perhaps shouldn't be in the movie... but if the director wants it could be added as well to make the circle full and perhaps beyond full... It could give a glimpse towards a remake of the cartoons in a movie like fashion.. or perhaps to link up back to the first transformers movies... they there they fall from the sky as rocks so that don't make sense... let's pretend those first movies didn't happen or so ;) =D or maybe there is another reason for it... :) which will for now not be explained =D

This extra scene could be left as "extra content" for a dvd release perhaps...

I myself would like to not see this "wake up" sequence included... I rather keep my fond memories of Cartoon Generation 1 intact =D

It's nice to end it like that...

"A shot of the mountain with the spacehip conceiled inside of it !"

To finally reveal how it links up to cartoon series generation ! =D

All true tranformers fan will immediatly recgonize it ! And know that it will be alright ! Giving a happy ending feeling to the movie ! =D

Therefore a wake-up scene would ruin the end-experience... so I am against it... but it could be added as an extra scene for DVD release to milk some more money of it ! ;) =D for die-hard fans ! =D

Bye, Skybuck =D
