Package info needed for insulated T-220 type

May 25, 2008 3 Replies

I need to spec out a replacement part for a basic SCR for phase control in a simple drive. This component has insulated tabs and I need to find replacements. In all of the cat's online and off, none of them seem to indicate this data. all I can see is differences in package details.

Dos the T-220AB indicate insulated Tabs? I've never gave this much thought until now.

** Look for ones in " TO-220 FP " pack.

The device number will also likely have " FP " on the end.

I remember 'FP' by thinking it stands for 'full pack'.

Kids these days! It used to mean "Fiber Plate" that was used to isolate the mounting tabs of electrolytic capacitors from a chassis.
