OT: TerrorNews

Well, PteraGnuz is at it again, now for a few weeks and seemingly forever. No connect/recognition of username/password for the "free" user...

They will not tell you, but they want you to convert to a paid user.

Same here. I sent several messages to snipped-for-privacy@teranews.com and they didn't bother responding. Their system status is dated Friday, 22 January 2010

Buy a block - under $10 and then the problem goes away for at least one lifetime

Changing to a paid user takes effect in about 10 minutes, and works (as you see).

Well, sort-of; they DO have a restrictive number of lines for a post. "Eventually" does not cut it. The way i read their text on their site,it sounds like "NEVER,do NOT hold your breath".

A bulk purchased download quota that does not expire - eliminating monthly fees. Example:

5GB for $USD 2

If you mainly use Usenet with text based newsgroups then that 5GB block is probably a lifetime supply. $2 once vs $95 per year! You do have to tell thecubenet that you also want to post but they appear to be problem free

Forgive my utter ignorance: what is "ES"?

Binaries? They do not say.

Eternal-september.org. Free Usenet, with few frills but no BS either.
