I snip bits of posts that have nothing to do with what I am replying about. It is common curtsey. Who wants to wade thru a long message to get to a one line response. I do not mark the snips because I believe the readers here are bright enough to not need hand holding. If you can't deal with that tough, do not read my posts and save yourself angst.
The image of Dan curtseying is cute, but he probably would have written "courtesy' if his vocabulary extended that far.
But who wants to read a one line response to the first line of the post when that response happens to ignore the actual content of the post.
Actually, you snip because your internal processor runs out of memory very early - you can process one line of text, but flounder when asked to do more.
I'd have a lot less angst if you were capable of more subtle processing.
Most of them are pretty bad, but they do include the chemical equivalents of Phil Hobbs. Win Hill did start Ph.D. in chemical physics, but he seems to have bailed out before it damaged his circuit design skills.
John Larkin gets nervous when asked to design a small signal transformer - he'd much rather buy something off the shelf - so his grasp of circuit design does seem to have its gaps.
As usual, Dan has snipped most of my post. Since most of it was devoted to pointing out that he's cognitively challenged, this is understandable, but even so, he should have marked the snip.
I've included his preceding line, which does explain why I used the word "a ngst" though I personally find it pretentious for an English-speaker addres sing an English-speaking audience to use a German word for a state which th e regular English vocabulary can describe. In fact the emotion generate by his posts is closer to disgust than anxiety, but the particular kind disapp robation doesn't matter much.
ght enough to not need hand holding. If you can't deal with that, tough, d o not read my posts and save yourself angst.

It's not a worthwhile activity, but I'm a sucker for any text, no matter ho w unpromising. The primary school teachers who conditioned me into thinking that reading - any reading - was a good thing have a lot to answer for.
It's still common in some countries. I still get curtsied to every now and again. It's rather charming, really. Alas, the foreign ladies soon learn the gesture is not expected here and stop doing it.
