OT: Presidential Debate

Gentlemen,

I didn't get to see the debate myself. I've only heard about it from the MSM. Word is Harris beat the s*it out of Trump. But the Globalist- controlled Left-wing media would say that in any event, I'm quite sure. There was never any doubt about how they were going to play this. How does the Panel here feel the debate went? I'd welcome a more objective viewpoint.

I saw most of it. Finally saw the closing arguments this morning.

Trump definitely took the bait and responded to Harris, He also got flustered and failed to reply to obvious mistakes by Harris.

Hopefully whoever is president next realizes what is a realistic approach will be to the problems created by the democrats for many years.

Trump may have lost the debate, but his closing arguments against Harris definitely gave him the advantage. Hopefully both responses will get some air time to the world.

<snipped Jan's lunatic delusions>

As if Jan could think.

When he was president Trump certainly acted as if Putin was pulling his strings - Putin's intervention in the 2016 election is probably what got Trump his very narrow margin of victory.

Putin's obvious interest was in getting the US to go for the worst president on offer, but there were suggestions that Putin did have some dirt on Trump.

Well, I *could* do, that's true. I assume you're new here so you've never seen an SED run-up to a US election. We are 8 weeks out and the signal to noise ratio here is about to go parabolic. In a few weeks' time, posts on electronics will be dwarfed by those about US politics. It's just a phenomenon we all have to periodically live with I'm afraid.

It seems to depend on the news chanel. Max and Fox says Trump won. Cnn and others say Harris won. I only watched about the first 30 minuites but did not really pay attention to either of their lies or false information. I just wanted to see if Harris laughed at everything Trupm said.

Not to mention the Canada Geese in the park! However, this is focusing all the attention on the immigrants. Concerned citizens should instead be looking to find out precisely *who* put them there in that small community. Find those people and you'll find out who's your enemy within. Then focus the spotlight on *them* for a change. These entities spend their whole time working in the shadows hoping to be unobserved and you know the old saying, "daylight is the best disinfectant" certainly applies in this instance!

So you have to stoke the fire? Thank you kindly! Please do that elsewhere.

His closing argument was to blame Harris - as vice-president - for all the problems that hadn't got solved while Joe Biden was president (a lot of which had survived from Trump's catastrophic presidency).

He might imagine that it gave him an advantage, but he lies to himself quite as much as he lies to other people.

Certain Republican governers in southern states are known to have shipped their illegal immigrants up to northern states.

They weren't all that covert about it.

Been wondering what the Carnival Cruise logo reminds me of. It's Alf.

If you can't see what the democrats have done to you that is sad. Blaming Trump for it is even worse.

Keep voting the same and hope for a different result.

I'm Australian. My government managed our reaction to the Covid-19 pandemic much better than Trump did - look at the mortality statistics.

If you are too dumb to have noticed this, it's sad.

From the Trump-suckered gullible point of view, perhaps.

As an Australian, I don't get to vote for (or against) Trump. His incompetence can still affect me.

This puts a different spin on it:

Seems Trump was set-up. No surprise there, then. No point in any further "debates" if they're going to pull another stunt like that. All Trump needs to do is stand on his record and stick to the line: "was the economy stronger under me or under Biden/Harris?" Everyone knows the answer to that even if they won't admit it. And it's about to get worse. The US economy is tanking and a 50bp cut in rates is imminent to stave off the inevitable recession. Gross economic mis-management thanks to diaper Joe and his side-kick.

Since the US - and the world's - economy took a big hit from Covid in the last year of Trump's presidency, and Trump's mismanagement of the US response to Covid-19 meant that the US took a bigger hit than it needed to, you have to be ax dim-witted as Trump to take that seriously.

You clearly don't.

It isn't.

The rate hikes have brought inflation back under control, and Fed seems to be on the verge of starting to cut them to allow the economy to start growing again.

The rate hikes were imposed by the Fed, not the administration, and what the Biden administration has done seems to be fairly sensible - which is to say not what Trump would have done, because he isn't remotely sensible, any more than you are.
