It has begun censoring paid search results, refusing to display the advertising of certain publishers. And they won't explain why. Google's search-engine market channel is the lifeblood of the publishing industry, today. With the power to censor advertising, Google can literally decide what will and what won't be published in the future. There's no doubt it can also heavily influence many other sectors of the economy, too, simply by deciding who is allowed to use Google and who isn't.
