Yes, I've read it and it was good. I've read so many books on the subject it's hard to remember the details. I mark the pages with real zingers.

My bottom line seems to be that nobody understands the origin of the universe or the origin of life and consciousness, and maybe never will, so any belief about it, religious or "scientific", is a version of faith. Some people respect other faiths and some don't.

Meyer is very smart and very articulate and seems to be a nice guy.

Well I ordered the book. I listened to him 'cause he's got some new book out. (I figured I should read the older one first.)

Yeah, that was my impression. I like different ideas. Liking doesn't mean you believe 'em. In my youth I read a ton of Arthur Koestler, perhaps "Darkness at Noon", is his most famous. Anyway he had lots of wacky ideas, and I enjoyed reading and talking about them. (I think "The Case of the Midwife Toad", may have been the first. Turns out some of those ideas seem to be true, what your dad and grand dad did (at certain ages I think) effects your genes. Effects as in how/ when they turn on.)

Anyway, you read it already.
