OLED keyboard solution?

interesting idea:- OLED / LCD keyboard, but using optical fibre technology to send the signals and power to each key instead of wires.

this removes the need for any moving parts apart from the keys themselves.

its possible to use infrared instead of visible light and individually address each OLED (continuous power to non

active cells) with capacitor keep-alive on each key.

perhaps this might be useful?

iirc optimus keyboard's main headache was that each key needed multi- lead flexis that then caused reliability

problems.

a budget version of this could be done using white LEDs to "backlight" each LCD panel and infrared to address them.

Optimus now uses fixed OLEDs under a moving transparent keycap. Problem solved.
