NRI? As in "Not Really Indian" maybe you need a real Indian...

It's a brand. I've encountered their parallel and serial interface coin validators. I have never touched their sorters, but seem to recall that they can be driven by a validator. NRI seems to be part of Crane Co. now.

...also "National Resources Inventory" ..or "Nomura Research Institute" ..or "Natural Resources Institute" ..or "Networked Readiness Index" ..or "National Research Institute" ..or "Nanoelectronics Research Initiative" ..or "Net Revenue Interest" OR in your case, "Non-Repairable Item".

:-) :-) Thank you guys for input :-)

NRI is German producer of all stuff regarding vending machines etc. Those coin sorter, hoopers and other stuff are one of the best in this part of industry.

@Jasen Am working with comestero and alberichi but one client has implemented used MDB NRI sorter and after cca 3 years without any problems, sorter starts to fail to accept one coin type ( 2 EUR ).

So, now i have two options, try to repair it or to buy new one... Altogether, sorter is working 6-7 years 24/7, so maybe it's best to buy a new one.

Problem is that i dont have SW for calibration and setup,so it looks i have to go throe "distributions channels " :-).

'G13-mft', I think that's one I've used, when they changed coin sizes ~10 years ago I had to teach them the new coin sizes, which was a matter of pushing the button to get a certain LED pattern and then running 10 sample coins. the 10 coins should be a representative sample. if you find the device rejects some coins that it should accept add one of them to the set of 10, program again, and re-test. look for instructions on the side of the device.

As I only had responsibility for about 4 of these validators I didn't bother looking for a programming device.

You forgot 'National Radio Institute', which was of the first correspondence courses for early electronics. At the end, it was owned by McGraw-Hill.
