I once got pulled up over calling that clock "Big Ben".
"Big Ben", apparently refers only to the large bell that strikes the hours. What the clock is called, I don't know.
AFAICT it doesn't have a special name.

Actually, we all call the clock and tower 'Big Ben'. The only people who don't are tour guides and smartarses. And maybe people called 'Ben' who happen to be big and are just fed up with it.
