Nothing much has changed since 1905 and the Smallpox epidemics

The authority of the States to impose vaccine mandates was established by this US Supreme Court ruling, which is worth reading (ignoring the legal boilerplate). It's 29 pages long.

Nothing important has changed in 116 years - the exact same arguments and counter-arguments are made. One could update the English and publish the summary today.
