Multiple output MOSFET array driver

Dec 02, 2006 3 Replies

Does anyone know of a mosfet driver which can handle more than 4 separate outputs? I am trying to drive 16 lamps (14VDC) from a microcontroller and would prefer to have something more manageable than

16 IRF-510 mosfets. Maybe a 8 or 16 output device?

Thanks,

As always, how much current do you need the drivers to supply?

Those IRF510 mosfets are marginal when driven with (5 volt) micros. How about a couple ULN2003 darlington arrays -- good for about 1 amp if you don't need them all at once?

If you can live with a ground connected switch, there are good low level SOT23 Mosfets out there that could do the task.
