Impossible. The loads aren't constant, not by a *long* shot, not to mention the communications between the units. Your invention is just making things worse.

Its not my invention, this was in widespread use in the 1930s. Loads don't need to be constant or matched. Electronic communications across a dc voltage difference are hardly a challenge.

Define "widespread use". The fact is that it will cause all sorts of problems that don't exist today, reduce reliability, and most importantly, increase cost. IOW, it's a loser.

AIUI power distribution systems used it countrywide. It was the forerunner of today's 3 phase distribution system. The US still uses it on a huge scal e.

I dont see a way it would do that. Every appliance has 2 wires, 1 fuse just as before.

Its fallen out of favour because 3 phase ac makes more sense. But if you ne ed the specific combination that was requested here, it does work. The cost is just an extra battery terminal, which can be much lower current rated s ince it never sees starter or most of the alternator current. It saves on c opper.

You do understand that different problems have different solutions. Car accessories aren't AC.

It certainly is. It requires some sort of isolation or level translations. That isn't free.

Wrong. A higher voltage is going to cause even higher, more energetic, load dumps. Splitting the loads across the supply don't help since you can't guarantee sharing. Even if you could, there's that V^2 thing.

Often it is, at other times the cost is trivial. Only some things need comm unicate.

higher v yes, not more energetic. A 24v circuit uses half the i of 12v. Nat urally the 12v circuits only see half the load dump, thus load dump events are in fact less energetic on the electronics.
