LT1302 - mintiboost, but for both ~3.3 and 5V

Hi all

The LT1302 is used for the minti boost, because it can deliver 600mA, while other LT1301 can deliver only 200mA but also at 3.3V. LT1306 seems like a good choice for me, except that I cannot buy it here.

MAX757 has the power options, but still only at 600mA

Is there a version that can provice 500+ mA and at 5V and 3.3V

I don't know specifically the various options available. There are many, many power converters, many of them dual. Digikey, Mouser and the various manufacturers all have selection guides.

Hi !

Those Step-up/down micropower converters are funny things .. believe me !

Although your specifications on input/output are not precise and explicit I would recommend MAX1705. See the datasheet pp.11 --> C1 and C2 are required when things are turning weird and believe me things will turn funny ... no time to explain why here. I'm tired.

That's an interesting story... immigrants to California brought vine clippings from France and Italy.

Then there was some kind of vine disease in Europe that wiped out many of the vineyards.

So clippings were sent back to Europe to replant the vineyards.

Thanks! ...Jim Thompson

The disease was also introduced to parts of Australia by importation of American vine cultivars that had been certified to be free of phyloxxera by lying hounds.

Now only resistant varieties can be grown in affected areas, and there are huge costs incurred in avoiding contamination of unaffected areas.

That proves the power of selective breeding. Wine grapes have selectively bred human beings to build ships and carry grapevines the world over.

It's a plot.

Sure. A plot is what you plant things in, right? That's just exactly what the grapevines want.

It's also a conspiracy. Between the grapevines, the Norway rats, the fleas, West Nile virus, and kudzu... well, what hope do we have in dealing with such a skilled and devious set of conspirators?

I'm especially worried about the Quartzians. You don't have to look at today's younger generation for very long, to see how effectively they've been bred to carry around those tricky little bits of polished silicon. Most younger humans go into shock if deprived of contact with their silicon-and-chrome masters for more than a few minutes.
