Looking for J-cell battery contacts

Hi All, I am designing a circuit to be powered by a J-cell (the 6V batteries once popular with cameras, now used in medical devices - like this:

). The cell will lay flat against a PCB, so I need some kind of PCB-mounted spring contacts for the J-cell. I am coming up empty from the usual sources - digikey, etc. The closest I've found are springs for AA batteries, which may work.

But I was wondering if someone knew of a supplier of spring contacts specifically for J-cells?

Thanks - Steven

I can't say whether the contacts are specifically for J-Cell, but AVX and ITT-Cannon have excellent lines of spring contacts designed for the mobile market (hand held in particular).

I use a dual row stacker that might be suitable

58-9158-030-000-037S from Elco (part of AVX).

As always, check the stuff for your own application.

I prefer AVX/Elco as the support seems to be much better than ITT-Cannon (it's almost impossible to get them to answer calls - one wonders if they actually want to sell anything).

Cheers

PeteS
