Does anyone know where (or is it possible) to purchase 6 pin male Firewire connector - like standard backshell assembly for many other connectors? All I find in catalogs is female connector for custom PCB construction and cables with male ends of prefab length.

Probably easiest to just buy a cable and cut the other end off, or buy plug-plug leads twice the length you need and cut in half...
