loopback is a class A netowrk, you can put all your reject sites into there somewhere and not need to wait for the ARP requests on the LAN to time out.

OK, now I see, yes ARP takes some time too. Had to write that ARP code for my PIC UDP stack in asm... I have modified /etc/hosts :-)
One side-effect happend, now I see my own web server error messages saying the page does not exist in the advertising space of other sites :-) So I have changed /etc/host back to 10.0.0.190 an IP that does not exist. If I ping 127.X.X.X then I always get local host and my own server.
