Help needed for LEDs

I'm trying to find the lastest manufactured surface mount chip device having brightest output possile (preferably white colour) for lowest voltage/current. Have already searched through various makers like KingBrite but are wondering if anyone has found anything with highest performance possible by other makers. Thanks.. morris
