Anyone know where I could purchase a spinning mass gyro sensor? Ton of solid state but have not been able to locate spinning mass.
Northrup-Grumman makes the very fine G2000. BEI used to sell what they called a "multisensor", but I doubt that they still sell it. Condor Pacific sells quite a few spinning gyros.
All of these will set you back as much as a moderately good used car, and they're all export controlled. I'm sure there are ones out there for avionics, but that's not the biz I was in when I learned about gyros.
What do you have against solid state?
