Anyone with thoughts or experience with this gizmo? It's at a tempting "throw it in the toolbag" $1K price point but the data sheet leaves out some key information, such as actual resolution or even the dimensions of the display.
It does claim a switchable near and far focus capability, although their copy doesn't quite make sense: "NEAR > 23 cm (9 in); FAR < 23 cm (9 in)" If it could resolve that, say, even the general area around an
0603 is hotter than expected, that's probably good enough. The 28 deg FOV at 9 in works out to about 4.5", so maybe?
