F1 has always been an economy run, you have always needed fuel, tires and engine to finish the race.

The fuel limitation are a brilliant way to limit performance to safe levels without making development redundant. power limits, boost limits, air rest rictors etc. leaves no little for development

a fuel flow limit means you are free to make as much power as you can make your engine extract from the allowed fuel. The current engines are astonish ingly efficient and make more power than they have done in many years if no t ever, using 2/3 the fuel of the old V8s

plus the way the fuel flow vs. rpm is defined forces them to run at +10krpm to please those who like to hear high reving engines

The limit on how many sets of tyres pretty much precludes any notion of racing.

Its just a prosession.
