I doubt if it does. This computer is about a year old and relies an Intel i5-3470 quad core running at 3.2GHz. I occasionally swap LTSpice simulations with my friend in London, and it doesn't seem to run them unusually slowly.

You may have installed a different SPICE model for the P-channel MOSFET. What sort of simulation speed did you see?
You're giving him to much credit, Vic20 or Coco is the best he has!
