Here's a long (and entertaining) series of articles on making silver bullets. At the very end the author opines that you for most purposes you really don't, after all, want silver bullets -- you want shotgun rounds loaded with silver beads. This will be handy, because you can alternate them on your bandoleer with shotgun rounds loaded with wood stakes (you probably need to use a knee-action gun, as the wood loads would either be terribly small, or wouldn't fit in a pump-action gun).
