ear phone out -> mic in

I have a digital voice recorder, an Olympus DS-2, with which I make regular business recordings. I transfer these to cassette tape. I use the ear out to 'tape in' on a Teac 202 Mk3. ( I enter the equipment models in case it is significant to you).

I also have a portable Panasonic RQ-A220 cassette stereo recorder. I would like to transfer the DS-2 recordings at work using the RQ. The RQ only has a stereo 'mic' input.

Can I drive the mic input with the DS-2 earphone signal. I REALLY don't want to break this cassette recorder! I love this thing :-)

Perhaps a impedance matching network? If so, what values? I remember something like a pi network of resistors that you could build.

Thanks.

Radio Shack sells an attenuating cable for the purpose, I think, to take line level audio down to microphone level. Line level is essentially the same as earphone level.

I was using Opera and this one managed to pop up some ads anyhow. Very few sites can do that.

I guess that's because it's not a pop-up !
