Conductive "sponge"

Is there any material out there that is conductive and "sponge" like? (something that is very plyable)

Thanks, Jon

conductive foam?

It does not conduct at low ohms but something you may want to look into.

I guess something better than a dry sponge as seen in the execution seen the Green Mile movie.

There is stuff called 'zebra strip' used for connecting lcd glass to a pcb. This company has these things (and others):

Carbon loaded foam is made to ship static sensitive chips on. It is not very soft nor very resilient, but you can dent it with your finger tip.

I stuck an ohm meter on black conductive foam for DIP IC's. Spacing ~ 1" Force: ~1mm depression (The probes didn't puncture the foam.) Resistance: ~25kohm

Google things like emi gasket, emi conductive polymer, emi seal. Several people make a range of interesting compressible conductive things.

"fuzz buttons" and "brass wool" can give you quite a lot of flex while making contact.

There are also some conductive cloths etc used for EMI shielding on things that need to flex.

Look for brand names like 'Brillo' and 'Kurly Kate'.
