Company pays $11M for LENR technology

How is it possible that the greatest invention since the beginning of time that will solve all the worlds energy problems and eliminate global warming can be purchased for pocket change $11 mil??????

I wondered that myself, but there are at least two other companies doing LENR.

Well, the answer should be quite obvious. Also, see if you can find Mr. Rossi. I think he is going to get VERY hard to find all of a sudden. I'm sure he's opened a Swiss bank account.

How about 100x that much, being paid out of the savings that the units produce after they're installed?

I was approached by a solar dealer who would rent me the panels based on some projected savings and some utility power buyback...my electricity would be free. He wasn't the slightest bit interested in payment based on the actual savings.

Go figure.

Certainly one would have to be concerned about the profits coming from scamming consumers. However, while there are power saving scam devices, I strongly doubt they produce incomes at this kind of level. I was assuming that there would only be profits if the thing actually works.

If Rossi believes that it does (I'm doubtful) he'd jump at the extra $99million.

Well, you don't know if it actually works until it's placed into production. That's why I suggested the payments being made from the savings. Of course a scammer won't go there.

Disagree. Rossi has built prototypes. Determining if it works is trivial. Bring it over to my garage. We weigh it. We use my meter to measure input energy. We measure output energy...maybe by boiling water. Doesn't have to be a precise measurement, because the gain is extraordinary.

While we wait for the excess energy to count up, we agree on a reference standard. Calculate the most energy we can get out known materials by known methods given input mass equal to the mass of the Rossi apparatus.

When the Rossi excess energy output exceeds the reference value by 10x or so, we proceed to the next step. We have to consider the cost to build the device and the consumables. That would require some insight into what's inside the box. I don't think that will be a problem, cause we won't ever get to that point.

Yes, they require capital, but it gets spent on R&D and getting the thing into production. It doesn't need to be given to the inventor.

There might be a few people out there who gain pleasure from duping companies into pointless expenditure of large amounts of money, but who do not expect any personal benefit. There might be. I doubt Rossi is one.

ISTR the report of 6x excess energy. I found this report of the tests,

Part of the problem they're not sure how it works, Window-Larson theory is one popular theory. How about the transmutation, nickel to copper. :-) Mikek

I know you *REALLY* want to believe in this crap, but it is without any shadow of a doubt pure unadulterated bullshit on a monumental scale. Anyone who buys into this junk "science" and fake engineering that exploits weaknesses in how power is measured deserves what they get.

Still $11M for the worthless IPR isn't such a bad deal for the vendor. Too bad for the company that bought it though :(

It's not so trivial. Remember CNF? It took some time to get to the bottom of that steaming pile. Believers are still around (with their tales of 100MPG carbs).
