Cheap oversees manufacturer?

Hi All,

I've recently completed a design for a hand held gizmo for a customer who wants 5000+ of these, with many more to follow. They are barfing at the cost at the moment (my estimated UK manufacturing costs), so I'm looking at having this made in the Far East, China or Eastern Europe.

Does anyone have any contacts for low cost high volume manufacturers oversees that could possibly take this on? The gizzmo is a small handheld device about the size of a cigarette packet with an LCD display, 16 key keypad and some surface mounted electronics inside.

They have offices in Europe, USA and various other places and the production is in the far-east. One well know manufacturer of marine instruments in the south of the UK uses their services and are rather positive about them.
